  • WHERE ARE THE ULTRASOUND IMAGES STORED?

All ultrasound images scanned with the myMIDES probe are only stored locally and thus directly on the mobile phone/tablet/PC. No data is uploaded to a cloud. To see the pictures in the mobile/tablet gallery, you have to open the app under Data Table (bottom right) and the white Table Icon (top right). With a sensitive swipe to the left, the individual images and videos can be opened/played, shared/saved or deleted. With the Windows application, the images are saved directly in the installation folder.

  • HOW MANY FILES CAN BE STORED IN THE APP?

Currently, up to 500 files can be stored in the app at the same time. As soon as this number is reached, the following message appears the next time you save: "Memory full, please delete".

  • HOW SECURE ARE THE DATA ON THE MOBILE DISPLAY DEVICE?

Patient data are secure in the app and during export. However, the display device must be protected by user authentication (PIN, fingerprint or face recognition) to prevent unauthorized persons from opening the app.

  • DOES THE IMAGE RESOLUTION CHANGE WHEN USING DIFFERENT MOBILE DEVICES?

Due to the high screen resolution of most mobile devices, there is minimal difference in image resolution between devices. It is recommended to disable adaptive brightness, color filters, etc. that may affect the image.

  • ARE IMAGES DELETED AUTOMATICALLY?

No, images are not automatically deleted after export, but there is an option to manually delete all images at once.

  • DO I NEED AN INTERNET CONNECTION TO USE THE myMIDES PROBE?

No, the connection between the smart phone, tablet or laptop and the probe is based on the Wi-Fi network that the probe generates.

  • HOW LONG DOES THE BATTERY LAST?

The mobile ultrasonic probe allows continuous operation (i.e. sonography) of up to 4 hours.

  • HOW IS THE myMIDES PROBE BATTERY CHARGED?

Either wired via a USB Type-C connection or inductively using the supplied wireless charger.

Yes, up to 1.000 images can be recorded to create a video with a maximum length of approximately 1 minute and 30 seconds.

  • IS THERE A BIOPSY GUIDE (NEEDLE GUIDE)?

Yes, for both in-plane and out-plane diagnoses.

  • CAN THE ULTRASOUND IMAGES BE ANNOTATED?

Yes, all images can be annotated and saved directly on the respective equipment.

  • DOES THE MYMIDES PROBE SUPPORT THE DICOM FORMAT?

Yes, ultrasound images can be transmitted in DICOM format.

  • WHAT ARE THE FREQUENCY RANGES AND PENETRATION DEPTHS OF THE MYMIDES PROBE?

    Convex: Frequency range: 3,5 - 5 MHz, penetration depth: 90 ~ 305 mm
    Linear: Frequency range: 7,5 - 10 MHz, penetration depth: 20 ~ 100 mm

  • DOES THE MYMIDES PROBE HEAT UP DURING THE ULTRASOUND?

During the scanning process, the probe warms up due to the ultrasound technology. However, the MyMides probe has a thermal management system that dissipates the temperature well, even during prolonged exposure to sound. We still recommend using Freeze Mode when not actively sonicating and using Color Mode only when needed to keep the probe temperature low.

  • DOES LATENCY POSE PROBLEMS FOR EXAMINATIONS?

No, as has already been confirmed by physicians, the latency of the myMides probe is negligible.

  • CAN YOU MEASURE VOLUME WITH THE MYMIDES PROBE?

Yes, but this requires the Dual Screen Display Mode, which is only available on a tablet or PC due to the required display size.

  • CAN THE MYMIDES PROBE REPLACE A STATIONARY ULTRASOUND EQUIPMENT?

No, due to the design, the image quality and computing power cannot be compared with that of a stationary device. However, there are many areas of application in medicine where a location-independent initial examination must be performed, and the myMides probe is ideally suited for this purpose.

  • HOW SHOULD I DISINFECT/CLEAN MY PERSONAL SCREEN DEVICE?

The screen device should be disinfected and cleaned according to the manufacturer's recommendations. You should also be aware that manufacturers change their recommendations from time to time, so manufacturer's specifications should be checked regularly.

  • HOW SHOULD I CLEAN/DISINFECT THE MYMIDES PROBE?

The probe should be wiped down after use with a clean, lint-free cleaning cloth and a detergent containing enzymes. After that, you should rinse the transducer with water until all the cleaning agent has been removed. Finally, the probe should be dried with a clean, lint-free cloth.
Use an alcohol-based disinfectant (e.g., quaternary ammonium salt mixed with water), moisten a clean, lint free cloth with it, and disinfect the entire probe with it. You should then wipe the probe with a clean, lint-free cloth to remove all residues of the disinfectant.
For more information, please read the operation manual.

  • HOW WELL IS THE MYMIDES PROBE PROTECTED AGAINST WATER PENETRATION?
