There are many different types of damage to standard probes, some of which are caused by long periods of use, intensive disinfection or mechanical influences. At MIDES, our detailed analysis allows us to find any fault and repair it accordingly. With our tailor-made repair offers, we guarantee manufacturer-independent processing of all components of a standard probe.
3D / 4D
PROBE REPAIR
Mechanical probes enable three-dimensional (3D) imaging of organs or embryos. They are often used for obstetrics. Most 3D probes have oil-filled caps, and are therefore particularly prone to cracking and leaking frequently. At MIDES, all types of mechanical probes from all areas of application can be repaired, regardless of the manufacturer. We fix both optical and technical defects.
TEE
PROBE REPAIR
TEE probes are a combination of endoscope and ultrasound probe and are often used in cardiology. Due to the area of application, this probe must be cleaned and disinfected particularly thoroughly and the wear and tear of the parts is higher.
We repair all optical and technical defects of analogue and matrix TEE probes and all their components, regardless of the manufacturer.
ULTRASOUND
ENDOSCOPE REPAIR
Medical ultrasound endoscopes can be used to scan directly inside the patient's body. For this reason, endoscopes have to be cleaned and disinfected at great expense and the outer parts are subject to high wear.
We can comprehensively analyze all common endoscope models and carry out both optical and technical repairs according to semiconductor industry standards.
FLEXIBLE
ENDOSCOPE REPAIR
Medical endoscopes are used to examine the inside of patients and require extensive cleaning and disinfection. This causes accelerated wear of the outer parts, which can lead to leaks and extremely costly failures of the inner parts.
At MIDES, all common endoscope models can be comprehensively analyzed and both optical and technical defects can be repaired.

Thanks to meticulous development work in our in-house innovation department, we are the only company in Europe able to offer the repair and refurbishment of Alcon and Oertli brand phacoemulsification handpieces. With this rental device, you can continue to work undisturbed and save maximum costs with faster order placement and quick return of the rental probe.

The probe is sent by post or picked up by our specialist staff. Our environmentally friendly ultrasound probe box guarantees a protected return.

DETAILED ANALYSIS
After receipt of the probe, intensive incoming inspections are carried out with optical inspection, crystal analysis, leakage test, live test on the phantom, pressure tests, temperature test, EMC tests and extensive additional inspections for complex probes. The MIDES probe analysis also includes comprehensive documentation.

REPAIR OFFER
After analyzing the probe, we create a step-by-step offer that is individually tailored to the needs and life cycle of the probe.
BASIC
REPAIRS
Non-functioning parts of the ultrasound probe are repaired or replaced and defects that endanger patient safety are eliminated. These parts have a 3 to 6 month warranty.
Smart
repairs
All parts of the ultrasonic probe that are at the end of their life cycle are repaired or replaced. There is a 6-month warranty on these parts. The repair takes place within 5 to 10 working days.
Refurbished
repairs
Crystals and all parts of the ultrasonic probe that are visible from the outside are exchanged for new components. A 12 to 18 month warranty applies to these parts. The repair takes place within 5 to 10 working days.

MIDES ultrasonic probe repair is carried out according to the highest industrial standards and is ISO-certified (ISO 9001:2015 and EN ISO 13485:2016). Depending on the type of repair, there is a warranty of up to 18 months on a repair.
